Jarno Kivioja, Ph.D., is a post-doctoral research fellow who completed his Ph.D. thesis in 2019 at the University of Helsinki and joined the Zenz group in May 2020. In his Ph.D. thesis, he studied the molecular mechanisms of drug response in t(5;11) positive acute myeloid leukemia using high-throughput drug screening and omics profiling. Currently, Jarno’s research interest is to use systems-wide approach to enhance the prediction of treatment responses in patients with different subtypes of leukemia and lymphoma. During his postdoctoral work, he is looking forward to learning more about methods used for studying the effect of therapies at single-cell level.
